What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. They let a site remember things between pages and visits — like keeping you signed in — and can also be used to measure how a site is used. This page explains exactly which cookies we set and why.
Strictly necessary cookies
We set one cookie that the site needs to function. It signs members of our team into an internal documentation area and is only created after a staff member logs in there. If you are browsing villas, searching, or making an enquiry as a normal visitor, this cookie is never set for you. Because the feature cannot work without it, there is no opt-out.
| Cookie | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
docs-auth | Keeps a logged-in team member signed in to our internal staff documentation. | 30 days |
Analytics cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site — which pages and villas get attention, where people arrive from — so we can keep improving it. These cookies are only set if you accept them when asked; decline and they are not placed. The information is used to measure traffic and usage in aggregate, not to identify you personally.
| Cookie | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
_ga | Tells one visitor's device apart from another. | 2 years |
_ga_* | Keeps track of a visit (the session) for Google Analytics. | 2 years |
Cookies we don't use
We do not use advertising, marketing, or social-media tracking cookies. We do not build advertising profiles about you, and we do not share your browsing data with third parties for their own marketing.
When you book
Bookings are completed on the website of our reservations partner, Webhotelier, which we link to from each property. That site is operated separately and sets its own cookies under its own cookie policy. Anything that happens once you leave to book is covered by their terms, not this page.
Managing your cookies
You can accept or decline analytics cookies when we ask, and change your choice at any time. You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings — most browsers let you block cookies or remove ones already stored. Blocking the strictly necessary cookie above only affects our internal team area, so a normal visit is unaffected.
