Romantic Getaways

Two of you, a private pool, and a view that earns its keep.

These villas are for couples who want to feel somewhere, not just be somewhere. Privacy that isn't a marketing word. A view with no neighbours in it. A pool you don't share with a stranger reading their book on the other lounger.

We check every property in this collection for the things that actually shape a couple's trip: a gate that closes, a terrace that isn't overlooked, a pool positioned for the time of day you'll actually use it, and enough space between you and the rest of the island that you can forget about it for a week.

We manage 600+ properties on Rhodes. The guest review score across our direct bookings is 9.9. When we tell you a villa has real privacy, that's because we've been inside it, not because the description on a portal says so.

If you're marking something with this trip (an anniversary, a honeymoon, a milestone birthday, a babymoon, an elopement, the first week away from work in two years), this is the collection.

What we actually check before listing a villa here

There's one question we ask before adding a property to this collection: would arriving here feel like an occasion?

That means:

  • A gate that closes between the villa and the road
  • A terrace that isn't overlooked from a neighbouring house or a hillside path
  • A pool sited for soft evening light, not the kind of midday glare you can't sit in
  • A bedroom with a real view, not a window that frames the side of the next villa
  • Enough distance from the nearest other property that you're not hearing someone else's music at midnight
  • An outdoor shower or bathroom that doesn't feel like an afterthought

We manage these properties ourselves. We know what you'll see when you open the shutters, and what you'll hear in the morning.

Where to stay and why it matters

The east coast offers three quite different versions of a romantic week. The choice isn't a small one. We'd rather talk it through with you than have you guess.

  • Lindos. The acropolis on the hill, the village beneath it, St Paul's Bay tucked into the curve of the coast. A table for two feels like a proper occasion here because the backdrop does most of the work. Villas tend to sit on the hillsides above the village, with private terraces and the kind of view people remember. Walk down for dinner, walk back up under the floodlit acropolis.
  • Charaki and the central east coast. Quieter and slower. Feraklos castle on the ridge, a calm pebble cove at the foot of the village, a handful of tavernas along the harbour. Villas here tend to be set into the hills above the bay with full coast views and very little around them. The right choice if you want Lindos within reach but not on top of you.
  • The south. Lardos, Pefki, Kiotari, Gennadi. This is where Rhodes stops performing and just exists. Olive groves, low hills, long sandy beaches with no development behind them, villages that close around eleven. The right choice for couples who want the island to feel like theirs.

The wrong location can quietly undermine a trip. A Lindos villa is the wrong choice for a couple who came to Rhodes to read in silence. A south-coast villa is the wrong choice for a couple who want to dress for dinner in the village. Tell us which way you lean.

An evening you won't need to plan around

You don't have to leave the villa for it to feel like an evening.

A private chef can come and cook. A typical menu draws on Rhodian produce: pitaroudia (a chickpea fritter native to the island), fish brought up from Plimmiri that morning, kid goat slow-cooked with oregano and lemon, melekouni (sesame and honey) to finish, paired with wine from Embonas in the central highlands. Four courses, candles lit on the terrace while you change, a clean kitchen by ten.

If you'd rather go out, the villas in this collection sit within walking or short driving distance of tavernas that are worth the effort:

  • Mavrikos and Kalypso in Lindos village (institutions, book ahead for high season)
  • The harbour tavernas at Charaki, where the menu is whatever came in that morning
  • The small lanes around the square in Lardos, where dinner runs late and the prices are still local

If a specific evening matters (an anniversary date, a proposal, a birthday), tell us when you book. We can arrange the chef, reserve the table, deliver flowers to the villa before you arrive, and put a bottle of something cold in the fridge.

Days that aren't another day at the beach

A week of pool, beach, and dinner is a fine week. But a few of the days couples actually remember from a Rhodes trip:

  • A private boat day. A small boat with skipper from Mandraki or Kolymbia, anchoring in coves the road doesn't reach, lunch on board, swimming off the back. Worth doing once. Calm-water days only.
  • A morning in the Old Town. Walk the walls before the heat, coffee on a quiet square, out through the medieval gates by ten. Or do the reverse and walk the lanes at dusk when the cruise passengers have left.
  • A wine afternoon in Embonas. The wine village sits at the foot of Mount Attaviros, an hour and a bit inland. Family wineries, tastings, a long lunch in the village square. We can arrange a driver so neither of you has to.
  • Tsambika monastery at sunrise. A steep walk up from the road, twenty minutes if you're fit, half an hour if you're not. Sea view, silence, and coffee back at the villa before anyone else is awake.

Most of this goes better if we arrange it for you, particularly the boat and the driver.

Before you book, ask us this

Tell us what the trip is for.

An anniversary is different from a babymoon. A first trip together is different from a tenth. A couple who want to walk to Lindos village for dinner is different from a couple who want to see no one for a week. Some couples want a jacuzzi on the bedroom terrace. Some want a bed with a sea view. Some want easy logistics close to Rhodes town. Some want a villa with no neighbours in sight, full stop.

We have 600+ properties under management. The right one for your trip is one of around twenty. The rest are the wrong answer in different ways. Let us shorten the list before you do.

Message us on WhatsApp at +30 69 79 86 73 19 with the dates and the brief. Replies come within a few hours during business hours, same day otherwise.
