Rhodian Gaea is a tastefully restored holiday cottage, for couples, families and friends looking for a comfortable, relaxed holiday in a peaceful, tranquil location, which offers the outmost privacy. It is located in the Butterfly Valley (in Greek ‘Petaloudes’) which is a unique nature reserve. The cottage is only a 10-minute drive from the airport and 25 minutes from Rhodes town, and just 5 minutes away from the villages of Theologos and Paradisi as well as the island’s west side beachfront. Rhodian Gaea is an almost a century old, restored Italian farm house, which was part of a larger estate. It is equipped to cater for the holiday needs of up to 6 people and has two fully airconditioned bedrooms with double beds, a large living room with comfortable sitting areas and a double sofa bed. There is a cot available, upon request. There is also a wide range of amenities that guests will find useful during their holidays such as Wi-Fi, satellite channels, washing machine, ironing facilities and private parking. The cottage is equipped with a security alarm. Rhodian Gaea has a spacious, fully equipped SMEG kitchen with oven, hob and extractor hood, microwave, refrigerator-freezer, coffee maker and all the kitchenware needed for you to prepare and enjoy meals. There is also a bathroom with a shower. Rhodian Gaea’s outdoor space is a highlight on its own merit. It features a well-tended, one-acre garden which adds to a clear sense of seclusion together with a swimming pool equipped with sunbeds, parasols and outdoor shower. Also, there is a terrace with BBQ facilities ideal for a gathering with family and friends. Our guests are welcomed to hand-pick fresh fruits and vegetables from the 4-acre allotment right next to the cottage. Supermarkets, restaurants, tavernas, cafes, bars, banks and ATMs, pharmacies, petrol station, children’s playgrounds, car and motorbike rentals can be found within a few minutes’ drive from the cottage in the neighbouring villages of Theologos, Paradisi and Kremasti. The location of the cottage is an ideal base to explore the island of Rhodes and car hire is an excellent idea for those who want to make the most of their time on the island. There is also a bus stop right outside the cottage. Diagoras International airport is ten minutes away by car. The Butterfly Valley (in Greek ‘Petaloudes’) is a 5-minute drive away from the cottage. You will love the peaceful walk through the shaded, green valley with its small river and beautiful waterfalls. You are permanently surrounded by butterflies camouflaging themselves against the tree trunks as you walk up towards the monastery at the top, or rest for a while on one of the wooden benches along the way. Also, the Rhodes Ostrich Farm and Park is less than 5 minutes away by car, which is one of the most fascinating places for children to visit filled with many fascinating animals, such as camels, deers, donkeys and goats and more than 120 ostriches. Theologos beach, is a 5-minute drive from the cottage. It is popular with wind surfers and kite surfers and it is a perfect place for water sports. There is also a serene traditional coastal settlement awaiting you and your family where you can enjoy local cuisine in family tavérnas and restaurants. Other popular windsurfing close-by beaches are Fanes and Ialisos, which are only a ten-minute drive. Filerimos, is a ten-minute drive from the cottage and offers perfect hiking paths through the pine forest to the top of the mountain where nature lovers and sightseeing seekers will fall in love with the medieval monastery and the breath taking, panoramic views of the west side of the island and the Aegean Sea. The ancient Greek city of Kamiros is about a 15-minite drive from the cottage and visitors can have the unique opportunity to see the well-preserved ruins of a prominent city of the ancient era, enjoy its sandy beach, fresh fish and sea food on the local beach-front tavernas. The cottage is located just 25 minutes’ drive from Rhodes town center and the famous “Old Town” that is a UNESCO monument of cultural heritage, the Grand Masters Palace and Rhodes port. Before Departure: Leave the villa as you found it: dispose of rubbish, wash dishes, and collect used linen. Do not remove villa items as souvenirs. ### Cancellation policy The guest can cancel free of charge up to 30 days before arrival. The guest will be charged the total price of the reservation if they cancel within 30 days prior to arrival. If the guest does not show up, the price of the reservation will be charged. We will collect the prepayment of the total price from the guest before the end of the free cancellation period. ### Deposit A damage deposit is required upon arrival. This amount is fully refundable within 7 days after departure, provided that all house rules have been respected.
